Interior design is what puts things into perspective. The house interior is made possible with a well-formed interior design. House interior is abstract in the overall design of a space and made up of many factors that boil down to concrete elements.

  • Balance

The idea behind having a balance in your interior design is to maintain balance in user equilibrium. Symmetrical balance is attained by dividing the space into two parts and then creating a balance with furniture and colors. These two divided parts become a mirror image of one another. In an asymmetrical balance, an odd number of elements are used. The two parts of the room are not a mirror image. They work with an odd number of elements on each side. In a radical balance, the central point becomes an important focus and the rest of the furniture is placed around it in a circular motion. Certain colors and furniture placement play an important role in creating balance in your room.

  • Emphasis

One of the principles of interior design is emphasis. This element states that the central part of the house interior becomes a focal point. The rest of the furniture emerges from that central point. So the focal point should be carefully designed with impressive texture, color, size, and shape.

  • Harmony and contrast

This principle brings the importance of color and luminance in the room. One of the colors could be light whereas the others could be bold. Harmony in the furniture is only created when the colors form a connection with each other. Likewise, contrast can be achieved by form and space. A lot of people prefer white with a bold red color because these two form a perfect contrast together. When the colors are in perfect harmony, the room speaks calm yet exciting. Along with contrast, proportion plays an important role in forming a relationship between objects.

  • Rhythm

The rhythm in your room is the arrangement of your furniture. The arrangement is supposed to create a rhythm in your mind while looking at it. Rhythm can also mean repetition. Colors, sizes, textures can be repeated throughout the room to form one single ongoing rhythm.

  • Unity and Variety

Unity is an essential part of the design. In the house interior, the design should follow unity throughout without any confusion to make a rhythm. Unity should be maintained in such a way that the eye of an observer should move smoothly from one object to another. Along with unity, there should be variety in the form of textures, colors, and shapes.
